Leadership Guts:
Re-Gaining Trust, Driving Values

One of the most frequently heard phrases in most organizations is “they don’t walk the talk!” In the post-Enron world of work, trust is more important than ever before. Although today’s employees want a workplace with clear values, there is a growing feeling of mistrust between employees and those they work for. Yet, studies have shown that organizations with clear values, that are real and lived, outperform other companies in terms of profits and employee loyalty. In this challenging and insightful keynote, Dr. Izzo will help your audience understand the values the emerging work force want at work, the keys to building trust at work and how successful companies make values more than a piece of paper. Your leaders will learn how to get values off of the wall and into the daily experience of those who they lead. For senior groups, Dr. Izzo will discuss how organizations can get beyond skepticism and regain the trust of their stakeholders.

Awakening the Soul
Learning to Use Our Gifts

Over the last several years, an increasing number of organizations and leaders have become interested in creating more spirited, soulful workplaces. Indeed, the deepest commitment comes from those who experience work as more than a way to make a living but as an expression of their values and desire to contribute. In this keynote, Dr. Izzo will explore four paths to finding more purpose and success and will help leaders at all levels discover practical ways to create more spirit for themselves and their teams. Based on his groundbreaking book Awakening Corporate Soul: Four Paths to Unleash the Power of People at Work. (Fairwinds Press 1997)

Renewing the Heart of Health Care

Health care is a unique “business” where a deep sense of mission is both the driver of passion and the best predictor of success. Yet many health care organizations are experiencing a loss of soul and purpose, while people take sides in a “we vs. they” mindset (management vs. clinical people, corporate vs. field, doctors vs. everybody). Dr. John Izzo has worked with over 300 health care organizations across North America and Western Europe. In this powerful keynote, he will help your group understand the keys to renewing the heart health care, how leaders at all levels-from CEO’s to the front line-can take responsibility for re-igniting passion and purpose at work. His work in health care renewal has been featured by Nurse Week, the American Medical Journal, Health Care Finance and many other respected healthcare publications. His talk is both practical and inspiring, and will challenge our audience to take personal responsibility for putting heart back in health care delivery. He is quickly becoming known as the “Dr Phil for Healthcare”

Choosing Your Second Innocence: Using Your Wisdom

In our youth, life was lived with a deep naive innocence and idealism about the world. This innocence was what made us experience life with joy and purpose. We were always in the moment and couldn’t imagine holding a grudge or clinging to our childhood disappointments. We had no doubt that life matter as long as we were in it.  As we age and learn life’s tough lessons, we often lose that innocence. We can become jaded and closed about intimacy, uncertain about our faith in the world and we hold guilt and hurt tightly as we allow ourselves to become buried beneath it all.  How do we regain the ability approach life innocently? How do we re-discover our world and learn to make choices that embrace the changes life hands us and to do so with the enthusiasm we once possessed in our innocence?

Dr. John Izzo will explore what it means to combine innocence with wisdom as we turn the numerous corners of our lives. This program will inspire you to see the positive in your life, become less cynical, to let go of feelings of guilt or regret and to done a new pair of glasses to view life, work and our world. John will explore the mindsets necessary to rediscover innocence, our second innocence, one that incorporates the many harsh realities of adult life and one that is able to experience the same joy and present focus we search for.

This program will help you:

•      Reclaim idealism and hope
•      Discover ways to look with fresh eyes at your work, relationships, faith, and daily life
•      Learn how to be more present, discover the sacred in each moment, to know what matters to you, and to live with more intention
•      Renew your faith in yourself, your relationships and the world around you
