  Dr. Carter-Scott received her Ph.D. in Human and Organizational Development with an emphasis on The Relationship Between Employee Satisfaction & Customer Satisfaction and has designed 23 courses on Powerpoint for professional and personal growth. Chérie's special gift is to turn negative attitudes into positive behaviors. She is known for motivating individuals to take charge of their lives and to make the seemingly impossible happen. She is hired by Fortune 500 companies, associations, family-owned businesses and entrepreneurs as a facilitator, coach and has been called a guardian angel to CEOs.   She has appeared on Oprah, Leeza, Regis & Kathie Lee, CNN and over 300 radio talk shows. She has presented her seminars, workshops and keynotes speeches in 15 countries on three continents and her tapes, speeches and books have touched the lives of millions worldwide. She hosted her own 26-week talk show on cable T.V., was instrumental in changing US immigration policy, ran her company with 30 employees, traveled extensively, attended graduate school, and wrote two of her four books while being a single parent.

Her New York Times #1 Best Selling book, If Life is a Game, These are the Rules: Ten Rules for Being Human was published 1998. Following an appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show, Chérie’s book sold over 600,000 copies in its first six weeks, selling out every major U.S. book seller. Soon after, she adapted the 10 Rules into a teaching course and colleges around the nation now use If Life is a Game as a text for their orientation programs. Starting in 1999, Chérie contin-ued her Game Rules Series - her mission: to provide practical wisdom for all of life’s transitions. She has written If Love is a Game, These are the Rules, If Success is a Game, These are the Rules and If High School is a Game, Here’s How to Break the Rules, all of which are available in bookstores and online. Her latest work, The Gift of Motherhood, was published in April 2002 and accompanied by a major media tour with Broadway Books. She is currently co-authoring Chicken Soup for the Global Soul with Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen, for 2003.

Chérie regularly promotes her books on national and global tours with appearances on programs, such as Oprah, Regis, CNN, The Today Show, Jenny Jones, Sally Jessy Raphael, Leeza, The Other Half, Montel, and Politically Incorrect and over 300 other television and radio talk shows. 

Currently, Chérie lives in Nevada and California with her daughter and husband.
